Sabino is unlike any other treatment center I ve ever been to and for anyone reading these and wondering whether they should choose this place, the answer is yes, pack your bags. It s ALWAYS scary to take that step, but this is one you will not regret. I have been to several in the past 2 years and none of them came even close to the overall, deep healing that Sabino offers. It s different in a good way. First off, the true healing always begins once you leave, but you get the tools, the friendships, the stability and the awareness at Sabino. Instead of just focusing on the issue at hand, they dive deeper and focus on where the issue came from. They dig deeper, love deeply, and give you tools you never thought you had inside you or needed, but actually did. The staff is amazing, it s beautiful, clean, great food and a great atmosphere to heal in. Trust me when I say you are well on your way when you choose this place.

If you are considering going here i absolutely recommend going and keeping an open mind. The community is really strong and the facility is beautiful. I m also really impressed with the ketamine and EMDR programs. They even offer a SGB shot which also changed my life. They did a great job constructing a safe and welcoming environment to administer ketamine in. The gym is really nice and i could complete a full workout everyday (until the gym got temporarily closed). My psychiatrist was great and i was able to get on a new med protocol here. I feel a lot better. They offer numerous peer led clubs and activities, and everyone has a schedule designed for them daily. My only complaint is food is BAD. Some meals were good. But i ended up leaving two days early because the food was making everyone sick. Also if you have a food allergy, you will have VERY limited options. Everything tasted frozen and bad. I still 100% recommend going as the rest of it is great but they NEED a new chef.

I attended outpatient therapy as the last step to my treatment plan. I had appointments twice a week for 9 weeks. I'm forever grateful for the attentiveness of the team at Desert Star. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

I'm the parent leaving a review and this is a new experience for me regarding inpatient care for my adolescent child. From start to finish the Sonora team was incredibly amazing - professional, highly communicative, compassionate, very responsive, regularly updating me, being very patient as I learned to navigate the new,information and next steps including discharge and aftercare appointments and details. I never spoke with the attending physician but he seemed to be very attentive to my child's case & providing the nurses with detailed notes and updates. I'm very grateful to the entire Sonora team.

I have been going here off and on for the past 5 years but this last year after getting pregnant and still struggling with fetanyl they changed my life. They were so supportive and caring and really I don't know where I would be without this place and the staff that work there. I've been to 5 different methadone clinics in my journey struggling with addiction and have never had one anywhere near as good and caring as this one.
