alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

The goal of drug rehab in Wisconsin is to address drug addiction as a complex issue that involves physical, mental, and relational aspects. During rehab, treatment focuses on each of these areas and gives you the tools you need to achieve and maintain sobriety.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I m currently here as I m typing this. The nurse I seen was so rude and cocky. She made me feel as if I dumb and over reacting. I haven t seen a doctor yet and my experience is already bad. Last time I came the doctors and nurses were very nice! I m not sure what s going on.

Three significant events in the past 10 years. Cancer Surgery, Heart Valve Surgery, & two successful stays w/ Bacteremia. I've always gone out of my way to be treated at Appleton, despite being a patient at HVI Heart. Excellent overall. Now I have a minor follow up issue, & I have hit a brick wall. A solution is in sight. I thought I'd best write a great review that's well deserved.

So I just saw Dr. Cooper in the emergency room for a panic attack for the second time. He was the rudest doctor i have ever met. My mother very recently passed away from cancer and I have severe anxiety attacks. So I was recommended to go to the hospital which I did and ended up having him once again: not only did he make me feel so insecure and stupid but he also said that I was drug seeking and that my anxiety attacks were nothing more than temper tantrums I also have ptsd. So I cannot help when I have panic attacks. He was so condescending and belittled me and when I asked him calmly why he was being so rude he walked out of the room. This is the second time I ve had to deal with him belittling me. But having anxiety IS SOMETHING PEOPLE CANNOT HELP. I have just lost my beautiful mother and on top of that have other issues I m dealing with and am appalled that I was treated this way. I won t recommend anyone come here. This is why people are scared to ask for mental health issues. I am disgusted at his bedside manner

Killed my mother-in-law. Anesthesiologist Marcus Kaiser using a general for a 4 hour orthpaedic procedure on a 92 yr old patient with lacunar infarction and cerebrovascular disease is certified insanity. POCD. Death in 2 weeks. Thank you, scum AMC. Epidural too much for their skill level. The staffers also stole a beautiful stuffed rabbit I bought her in her last hours on earth and ALL lied about ever having seen it. I placed it in her arms myself. Called the Appleton police on these thieves. APD did a great job trying to help amidst a 5th floor of degenerate liar staffers who summarily stick together.Corrupt, incompetent, evil institution. Oh, btw, I come from a family of doctors and PhDs in a variety of disciplines rooted in the biogical sciences. We kinda understand medicine.

Don't go here! What they won't tell you at time of service is that they don't have any Thedacare Doctors or people to run tests. So after you get your big bill from Thedcare then you will get all these huge subsequent bills from all these companies you never agreed to treat you. This place is a scam and they are scam artists.

First time coming here. Walk through the Emergency Entrance to pick up my in-law. That was where I was told to go. But the door was locked and no indication to seek help. Saw two staff, women, by the counter talking. They freaking saw me and did nothing. Glanced at me and went back to talking. Didn't even come up to ask what was going on. I just sat there by the entrance until a nurse came out to get a wheelchair. Only then was I able to ask for help. Seriously Theda, you need to train your people better. What if it was a real emergency? Just gonna let people die by the door.

The 3rd floor nurses were absolutely amazing. They took care of all my needs good or bad. I couldn't have asked for anything better. The doctors and nurses for the ct scan and scoping departments were awesome too. Everyone kept me comfortable and without worry in times of unknown. Thanks again for everything!

My son went to the ER with broken toe on his left foot. Granted not much to do but tape it to the other toes. But the nurse was extremely rude and told him "you walked in here you can walk out!" He was very painful. The Dr was also rude to him. Finally a nurse noticed he was having trouble walking and offered to get a wheelchair. Sounds like the wrong profession for these people except the nurse who got him a wheelchair. I was a nurse for 42 years and would never think of treating a patient that way!!
