Are you looking for slow service, unnecessary treatments, sitting in an exam room for 3 hours, and a $3500 bill just to find out you have a whooping cough? Then this is the place to go! They ll be sure that you sit in a room for hours on end only to be told that you need to take some antibiotics. Thanks ThedaCare! I never realized how corrupt, disgusting, and horrible our healthcare system was until I met you!!

I see a couple doctors at Theda Care on a regular basis. I'm happy with my providers but there is a HUGE neglect here in patient care!!!!I'm a registered nurse and I had a spinal cord injury in 09. I've had cervical surgeries and have been dealing with chronic severe pain since my injury. I started going to Theda Care to provide me ongoing care with my spine issues and pain relief and I've been happy with how my doctors have taken care of me thus far. This one is not about the providers I see at all!! Dr Schlais and Dr Hoell are 5 star doctors in my opinion. I was approved for the ketamine/lidocaine infusions months ago and have been sitting on a waiting list here waiting and hurting.I'm told by the hospital staff that the program for the infusions is full!! In my opinion if you have a need this great and patients are suffering while on a waiting list and you are aware of this!! Why are you not taking steps to expand the program????? No one should have to wait months!!!! Suffering!! Not one patient! If you are aware of even one patient suffering and they've been approved for this program. Then I feel it's patient negligence because ypu are aware they are suffering!Obviously there's a population of patients in this community that are in need of this infusion and could be potentially living productively if treated and not sat on a wait list and forgotten about !!!!!I can barely make it to my bathroom and I am suffering here!!! What has heath care come to? I bet if this was one of the management or CEO there'd be no wait tho! Yes I'm upset because this is unacceptable. I don't call this high quality patient care at all! I call this patient neglect because you are awre there is a greater need for this infusion program and yet here I am crying and suffering here whole you sleep at night and can visit family and drive cars and enjoy your lives!! Not even caring about this line of patients suffering!Don't say you are a compassionate and caring until you can actual have the actions that show that!

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

The goal of drug rehab in Wisconsin is to address drug addiction as a complex issue that involves physical, mental, and relational aspects. During rehab, treatment focuses on each of these areas and gives you the tools you need to achieve and maintain sobriety.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

This review is for Karen helping with a tilt table test. You were awesome. My medications list has not been correct years even though we go thru it over and over at every appt multiple times a year. Medications I don t take never get taken off. But she fixed it and said it s cause their too lazy. Where are the rest the nurses like this? Most of them are terrible now.

I m currently here as I m typing this. The nurse I seen was so rude and cocky. She made me feel as if I dumb and over reacting. I haven t seen a doctor yet and my experience is already bad. Last time I came the doctors and nurses were very nice! I m not sure what s going on.

So I just saw Dr. Cooper in the emergency room for a panic attack for the second time. He was the rudest doctor i have ever met. My mother very recently passed away from cancer and I have severe anxiety attacks. So I was recommended to go to the hospital which I did and ended up having him once again: not only did he make me feel so insecure and stupid but he also said that I was drug seeking and that my anxiety attacks were nothing more than temper tantrums I also have ptsd. So I cannot help when I have panic attacks. He was so condescending and belittled me and when I asked him calmly why he was being so rude he walked out of the room. This is the second time I ve had to deal with him belittling me. But having anxiety IS SOMETHING PEOPLE CANNOT HELP. I have just lost my beautiful mother and on top of that have other issues I m dealing with and am appalled that I was treated this way. I won t recommend anyone come here. This is why people are scared to ask for mental health issues. I am disgusted at his bedside manner

Three significant events in the past 10 years. Cancer Surgery, Heart Valve Surgery, & two successful stays w/ Bacteremia. I've always gone out of my way to be treated at Appleton, despite being a patient at HVI Heart. Excellent overall. Now I have a minor follow up issue, & I have hit a brick wall. A solution is in sight. I thought I'd best write a great review that's well deserved.

Killed my mother-in-law. Anesthesiologist Marcus Kaiser using a general for a 4 hour orthpaedic procedure on a 92 yr old patient with lacunar infarction and cerebrovascular disease is certified insanity. POCD. Death in 2 weeks. Thank you, scum AMC. Epidural too much for their skill level. The staffers also stole a beautiful stuffed rabbit I bought her in her last hours on earth and ALL lied about ever having seen it. I placed it in her arms myself. Called the Appleton police on these thieves. APD did a great job trying to help amidst a 5th floor of degenerate liar staffers who summarily stick together.Corrupt, incompetent, evil institution. Oh, btw, I come from a family of doctors and PhDs in a variety of disciplines rooted in the biogical sciences. We kinda understand medicine.

Don't go here! What they won't tell you at time of service is that they don't have any Thedacare Doctors or people to run tests. So after you get your big bill from Thedcare then you will get all these huge subsequent bills from all these companies you never agreed to treat you. This place is a scam and they are scam artists.

First time coming here. Walk through the Emergency Entrance to pick up my in-law. That was where I was told to go. But the door was locked and no indication to seek help. Saw two staff, women, by the counter talking. They freaking saw me and did nothing. Glanced at me and went back to talking. Didn't even come up to ask what was going on. I just sat there by the entrance until a nurse came out to get a wheelchair. Only then was I able to ask for help. Seriously Theda, you need to train your people better. What if it was a real emergency? Just gonna let people die by the door.
