About Anchorage Treatment Solutions

Anchorage Comprehensive Treatment Center is an outpatient clinic for drug addiction in Anchorage, Alaska. They specialize in treating opioid addiction with medication assisted treatment.

Medication assisted treatment is a technique for addiction recovery that uses certain medications to manage withdrawal symptoms and cravings. There are some medications for alcohol addiction but most MAT is for opioid addiction and that’s what they provide at this treatment center. They offer methadone and Suboxone as well as buprenorphine and Vivitrol so their specialists can determine the best option for you.

Along with medications your program will include counseling too. Addiction is a challenge because it has both physical and mental dependency. The goal here is for the medication to help with the physical dependency while the counseling works toward overcoming your mental dependency.

This program is for people ages 18 and older of any gender who struggle with opioid addiction. Clients here generally say that they do have some complaints with how the administrative side of this clinic is run but they’re generally happy with the treatment itself.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Clients engaged in intensive outpatient programs (IOP) receive between nine and 20 hours of outpatient treatment per week. Intensive outpatient drug rehabs offer a wide variety of services, including medication assisted treatment (MAT), individual, group, and family counseling, and evidence-based complementary care, such as acupuncture, massage, and meditation. The intensity and frequency of treatment generally decreases as clients progress in their recovery. Clients often transition into IOP from inpatient rehab but may choose IOP instead of inpatient treatment.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients engaged in a rehab aftercare program receive robust wraparound care designed to evolve with the clients' changing needs. The client's case manager, healthcare providers, and addiction recovery team partner with the client to develop a rehab aftercare plan that supports the client's long-term recovery and meets their unique goals. Drug rehab aftercare often encompasses a wide variety of services, such as peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program induction.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) offers some of the same techniques as CBT but is adapted for individuals who are experiencing intense emotions. It helps the individual understand their emotions and change unhealthy behaviors.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

This facility should be going throughout the investigation. The new director Laurie is just not right person to do this job. She is arrogant, money and power hungry person. She is sending people in to relapse with her unopropriate responses to any issues her patients have.

I love the nurses and the counselors but the director, James has no compassion nor does he care about the treatment of anyone. All he cares about is making sure they re getting their money and implementing ridiculous rules; seemingly making everyone s lives harder on purpose. Most of us are all here for the same reason: to get and stay clean. It s impossible to do so with someone who clearly looks down at addicts and in my opinion, someone such as himself shouldn t be in the addiction treatment profession. If it wasn t for the nurses and counselors, I would have went somewhere else a long time ago; however the rest of the staff absolutely makes staying worth it and have helped so much on my sobriety journey. I commend all of them for dealing with the obstacles and stressors working there entails along with some of the patients who are more than complicated to work with.Summary: This place would be perfect without James. Everyone else is wonderful

Just so you know everyone this place has had a overhaul on their ratings. You can pay Google to sort of do a clean up or restart kinda thing on your reviews if you are the business owner or management of course for a fee. I know this for several reasons but the proof is my review is no longer here

Front desk woman is the worst. Not just (purposefully) as slow as possible, but extremely rude with a high horse, better than everyone else attitude.
