At 9:30 a.m. this morning I called the alano club a club that I used to really enjoy going to. I had asked the clerk that answered the phone if there was any way I could get a ride to a meeting this morning. She asked me where I lived and I said 76th Avenue N. her response was what you can't walk 10 blocks actually no I'm on disability and I'm disabled with two bad knees that need replacement I was entertaining the thought of picking up this morning after 4 years of sobriety I reached out for help and unfortunately because I don't have transportation I couldn't get to a meeting . I will call the AA hotline and hopefully I can talk to someone

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

The AA meeting club serving the Grand Strand with at least 5 meetings a day. If you think you have a problem with alcohol, this is a great place to seek out help from those who are trying to stay sober one day at a time. I sought out this place when I move here in 2015 to replace the meeting house I attended in Indy since 2000. It's a wonderful program that saved my life and continues to improve my life on a daily basis. It's going to be sunny today!

I love this place. It's the most welcoming environment for anyone that needs support and to know that they are not alone. Safe, non judgemental, friendly, discreet, and almost always with fresh hot coffee available . It's a wonderful place for anyone practicing sobriety to meet and connect with others alike.
