About Cove Behavioral Health

Cove Behavioral Health, formerly known as DACCO Behavioral Health, located in Tampa, Florida, provides behavioral health services for children, teenagers, and adults, including addiction recovery services for adults. Their programs include medication assisted treatment, residential and outpatient treatment, and aftercare support. Specialized services are available for teens, pregnant and postpartum women, intravenous drug users, and those with co-occurring conditions.

Medication assisted treatment allows you to use FDA-approved medications, including Vivitrol and Suboxone, over a longer timeframe to reduce the physical pain of withdrawal, manage cravings, and lower the chances of relapse. You’ll attend evidence-based addiction treatment to learn new habits and mindsets for a substance-free lifestyle, eventually tapering off the medication support.

Residential treatment provides assessment and gender-specific care. Services include individual and group rehab, addiction education and life-skills training, medication management, vocational training, GED support, and relapse prevention. Outpatient treatment offers similar services to folks who’re medically stable enough to live at home or in a sober living environment outside of sessions.

You’ll also get outpatient treatment services. There’s a dedicated adolescent outpatient program for teens with behavioral health or addiction recovery needs. Available outpatient services include individual and group counseling, addiction education, and life skills training.

They accept payments on a sliding scale. They work with most major insurance companies and accept Medicaid. Contact your individual provider before treatment to confirm coverage and out of network benefits.

car-building iconOutpatient

Outpatient rehabs encompass multiple levels of care to facilitate clients' progress through their recovery journey. Clients who are stepping down from inpatient treatment may require intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment, which involves more frequent and substantive therapeutic interventions than does standard outpatient care. Outpatient centers typically provide extensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Medication assisted treatment programs (MAT) and recovery-focused life skills training are also common in outpatient care.

house-medical iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) involve frequent and robust therapeutic sessions for clients requiring high-level care. Clients may engage in a combination of medication assisted treatment (MAT), addiction counseling, recovery skills training, and holistic therapies for a minimum of nine and a maximum of 20 hours per week. Intensive outpatient rehab is designed primarily for persons in early recovery, those exiting detox or inpatient care, and those at an elevated relapse risk.

house-medical iconAftercare

Rehab aftercare programs are a collection of highly individualized services designed to promote long-term recovery. These services evolve as your needs change. Case managers and recovery teams typically begin formulating the rehab aftercare service plan early in the recovery process to facilitate your reintegration back into the home, workplace, and community.

book-medical icon12-Step

12 step programs support recovery through emotional, psychological, and spiritual development to address the root causes of addiction. These programs are peer directed, with participants regularly attending 12 step meetings, which are anonymous, free, and accessible day and night, year-round. Recovery is based on "working the steps" to understand the source of addiction, take accountability for one's life choices, and relinquish control for that which cannot be changed. Age-specific, gender-separate, and other specialized programs are widely available.

people-group iconIntervention Services

If a person with a substance use disorder continually denies their problem or refuses to get treatment, a drug intervention in Florida may be necessary. Intervention services can help mediate the intervention by providing an addiction expert. This professional can de-escalate situations and facilitate a healthier discussion between the individual and their loved ones. Specialists can also help families handle issues they don't know how to navigate on their own.

hospital iconPartial Hospitalization Program

Often referred to as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers an intensive treatment option that allows individuals to return home at night. PHP treatment typically requires a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. Participants attend daily therapeutic sessions, receive medication management, and have access to skilled medical professionals. While costs can vary, most insurance will fully or partially cover a partial hospitalization program.

truck-medical icon24-Hour Clinical Care

24-hour clinical care in Florida is an essential part of treatment, particularly with medical detox. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe, and supervised detox provides around the clock access to medical professionals who can adminsiter proper medications and treatment to address these symptoms and step in should an emergency occur. This intensive clinical care will help curb the withdrawal effects, minimize substance dependence, and prepare you for the next step of treatment.

clipboard-medical iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Heart icon Treatment

book iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

prescription iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

head-side-medical iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

prescription-bottle-pill iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

file-medical iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Therapists who apply cognitive behavioral therapy in Florida believe patient thoughts and behaviors are closely linked. They use this treatment method to help clients change their thought patterns so they can also change behaviors and break free from substance abuse.

Group Therapy

Group therapy provides a safe and supportive environment for people in Florida who are struggling with drug addiction. There you can openly discuss the challenges and progress you're making without fear of judgment from your peers who experience many of the same things you are.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy often includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This is a structured approach to identifying and changing negative thought patterns. During therapy you learn how what you think drives your actions so you can develop healthier coping strategies to manage addiction triggers and reduce drug use.

Motivational Interviewing

As a short term therapeutic method, motivational interviewing in Florida requires only a couple of sessions. During these sessions, you'll have the opportunity to talk about your circumstances and any discrepancies between your current situation and future goals. You'll then decide for yourself what changes you want to make.

Family Therapy

During family therapy sessions, you navigate the complexities of addiction and are provided tools to help improve communication and resolve conflicts. When you work together, families can better support their loved one's recovery and restore balance and harmony within the household.

Life Skills

Life skills are the core skills you need for daily success. They can include self care, stress management, daily routines, and emotion control. Rehab treatment includes the development of these skills so you have the tools you need for long term recovery.

This is by far the most unprofessional place I have ever visited in my life! I was referred here for mental health care. I had spoken to an operator previously and was advised hours of operation is from 7:30-3:30pm Monday-Friday. I then sent an email for confirmation and was connected with Denzel Caddel. He then advised that I would 1st need to come in and complete an evaluation to determine the care/services that would work for me. He had advised to come in Monday-Friday between 7am-3pm. I thought it was odd that I was given 2 separate times, but I was excited to know that I could come as early as 7:00, that way I could arrive a little early and try to be one of the 1st to be seen. I arrived at 6:47am. I went to the front office and was told that the doors was on the side building where I needed to go for the evaluation and that I could sit there in the front lobby as the office didn't open until 7:00. At 6:58am I started to make my way to the side of the building. I seen a woman walking towards the doors with crates and asked if she needed any assistance and she said she had it. I tried to follow her in the lobby, but she stated the doors did not open until 7:30. I had explained how the receptionist area in the front had just told me they open at 7:00, but she said no, they do not open until 7:30. I then waited in my car until 07:35, then headed back to the double doors to see if the doors had opened. This time, there was another woman waiting as well whom explained that she had been coming there for years and that they are usually open at 07:30 as her appointments are usually at 8:00 and she likes to arrive early. We chatted for while and she was explaining to me how things at this office constantly changes with no updates and how she is used to it. A little skeptical I continued to wait. It was at 7:47 is when I started to get worried. The lobby doors were open but no one at the front receptionist desk and no one at all in the office, and it was dark. At about 8:00am I emailed Denzel Caddel that I had been there since 6:47am and that no one had even arrived. I am sure he probably was not in yet so I just waited for a response. At exactly 8:03am a African American woman walked in with a large bag. I guessed that she was one of the staff, but was not sure as she didn't speak at all. I advised that I had been there since 6:47am and she rudely stated "Well I was late and even if I was not, it will still take 2-3 hours to be seen, minus the evaluation. I was so upset, she didn't apologize, show no empathy or remorse, just a silent smirk like " and so what I was late". At that point I had seen enough and left. I could never imagine working or even volunteering at a mental/behavioral health center with such a lousy attitude knowing I am there to specifically help people. She is the reason so many many people do now get the help they need. The awful "I don't care attitude" was beyond me. The coming in late and not even speaking or even acknowledging your guest so so hurtful. I had gotten up so early, before even taking my children to school, wasted 3 hours of my time, 2 hours of work and all for nothing. I was there for 1 thing and did not leave with anything but anger, an unexcused absence/late clock in and still having to rush home to get my children ready for school to arrive late all for nothing. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I had gotten up so early, before even taking my children to school, wasted 3 hours of my time, 2 hours of work and all for nothing. My mother is not court ordered to come here but trying to stay clean and healthy. Had a difficult time with a urine sample. Staff was rude, very impatient, and had lack of compassion towards my 61 year old mother. Would not recommend.

I visited the Cove this evening and stood by the administration desk, hoping someone would assist me. Two so-called professionals women walked right past me, as one swiped her keys to enter another area of the building. These employees were as lifeless as the atmosphere in the building. However, a young lady, who was busy, responded to my call, acknowledged me, and provided the information I needed.Without a doubt, some people lack professional manners and courtesy. A simple "Can I help you?" would have gone a long way, but instead, two miserable humans walked past me without even acknowledging me.Although the name has changed, the miserable attitude of some employees remains the same. The Cove still has a lot of work to do regarding employees' professional development..Three stars for the young lady, thank you

Horrible place. All New Seasons clinics take Medicaid and other insurance called Ambetter that s free for dosing and free to have insurance without being required to have children to get insurance. DACCO changed their name to The-Cove it s DACCO but they had to try to hide the reviews as they think were all idiots and think or it s The Cove not DACCO I heard all the bad stuff about. It s just a name change everything is the same and they do not care any of you. You are just money to them & they will get your kids taken in a heartbeat. I recently stopped going after 3 years of perfect behavior and tried to stop taking methadone and had to readmitted myself and them knowing I was going through withdrawals for 8 day s getting worse by the day and they tried to give their lame recommendations of going through detox from 140 mg of methadone to literally nothing knowing I need help. Then they sent the cops to my home. Don t answer the door and the can t come in. These people are all against you and will treat you like scum because that is how they see you. I m glad I looked up New Seasons. When you need someone to help you at DACCO the Cove they won t be their for you and if you test dirty for a prescription and it s just a prescription caused by a depression pill that gives you a false positive by saying a benzodiazepine was taken, guess what CPI will be at you door taking your children away before you have a chance to fight the drug text then it s already too late. Not only that if you are refereed to go to their outpatient groups for CPI tasks be sure to go anywhere else. They will make you go for 25 hours a week or make you live there (if you don't seem happy enough they will make you live there). Unlike other treatment centers that are 1 day a week for 2 hours and has a end date this place has no end date and they will cause you to lose your children by not graduating you. They will do anything to charge the State by keeping you in their program longer even if that means making you lose your children. They legally can keep you in their program for years if it s court ordered. This place is a joke. TAMPA METRO ON NEBRASKA TAKES ALL Medicaid INSURANCES. GO TO TAMPA METRO.
