I recently had the opportunity to attend Brook and it was truly a life-changing experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel safe, supported, and understood. The facility itself is clean, calming, and designed to foster a sense of peace, which really helped me focus on my recovery. The therapists and counselors were incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate, offering personalized treatment plans that truly addressed my specific needs. What stood out to me was how invested they were in my progress not just treating me as another patient, but as a person deserving of real, lasting change. The group therapy sessions were powerful, and it was comforting to connect with others in a supportive environment. The holistic approach they take, incorporating mindfulness, physical activity, and therapeutic practices, made a significant difference in my journey. I left the program feeling empowered and equipped with the tools I need to continue thriving in my daily life.I highly recommend Brook to anyone seeking mental health support. They go above and beyond to create a healing environment, and I am forever grateful for the care and attention I received.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehab offers robust, hands-on care in a highly structured and supportive environment. The facility provides housing, meals, and round-the-clock supervision, allowing clients to focus exclusively on their recovery. Inpatient treatment typically involves intensive addiction counseling based on CBT, DBT, RBT, motivational interviewing, or other psychotherapeutic approaches. Many inpatient treatment centers also offer life skills training and/or complementary therapies, including meditation, mindfulness, and nutrition counseling.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) facilitate clients' sustained sobriety through high-level care aligned with their evolving needs. Clients engage in multiple treatment sessions per week, typically receiving between nine and 20 hours of outpatient care weekly. The frequency and intensity of treatment gradually decreases as clients stabilize. Many intensive outpatient rehabs offer a variety of services, including addiction counseling, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT). Evidence-based complementary therapies are also common.
aftercare iconAftercare
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
A drug intervention in Massachusetts provides friends and family the opportunity to share how a person's substance use has caused problems in their lives. The goal of the intervention is to encourage the person to get the treatment they need. Most rehab facilities offer intervention services that can help families prepare for the intervention and facilitate entry into treatment if the person agrees to get help.

Treatments

Mental health services are essential during treatment for drug and alcohol addiction, whether you receive treatment in an inpatient or outpatient setting. While receiving inpatient care, you can expect to have round-the-clock access to mental health therapists and medical staff. Additionally, you will likely receive a number of different therapies and mental health options like individual and group counseling, addiction and relapse prevention education, and coping skills training.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is a safe space for participants to share their stories and experiences within a confidential and judgment free environment. You have the opportunity to openly discuss your difficulties and create a network of community support that can extend long after group therapy sessions end.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

In summary, I got the impression that these guys are really desperate for patients, which is a pretty big red flag. No legitimate medical establishment will use high-pressure tactics to get you to enrol in a treatment plan. I think this business is more about money than therapy and it has potential to do more harm than good. The full story is that I found these guys through a google search for psychiatrists in my area because the wait time through my doctor's office is eight months. I don't have substance abuse issues, and my doctor has never suggested that I need intensive treatment. I filled out an interest form hoping to be connected with a psychiatrist who can help me with anxiety and other issues. I got a call back almost immediately from a representative whose tone was more similar to an aggressive salesperson's than someone who works at a medical center. I suspect he was not allowed to hang up with me because, after explaining several times that their program was not was I was looking for and that I would be destabilized and overwhelmed by it, I had to hang up on the representative. Before I hung up, though, the representative was able to confirm that he trained in business rather than medical administration.Thankfully, I was able to call my doctor's office and get an earlier appointment. My experience with this office, however, has made me very sad for the state of American healthcare.

The staff at BRC are truly exceptional. Seth and Connor have done an amazing job managing the facility and guiding clients & staff. The expertise demonstrated by each staff member in substance abuse and mental health is evident, but it s their genuine compassion and commitment to their clients that truly stands out. Each team member from therapists to counselors to administrative staff & management approaches their work with a deep sense of empathy and dedication. They create a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters healing and growth. The facility itself is well-maintained and it's clear that Brook Recovery Center prioritizes creating a comfortable and serene atmosphere for its clients.

I gave my heart and soul to this place. I loved the people there, and gave me a reason to get up in the morning to drive outside of Boston to get there. But Connor and Seth there are two of the worst " counselors" ever. This place can kick rocks and ive been to a couple.

I'm not sure where I would be without Brook Recovery Center (or if I would be here at all). I certainly wouldn't still have my kids living with me or the relationships with my family and boyfriend that I do now. I owe it all to Brook Recovery and I cannot thank you enough.

The IOP at Brook Recovery Center is a pretty strict and tough alcohol rehab program, but it changed my life for the better. It helped prepare me for handling whatever life throws at me, drug-free.

I owe my life to Brook Recovery Centers. I met people and shared common experiences with people I probably would have never met, some of which I now consider family. I am now clean and sober and working on getting my kid back. I am slowly putting the pieces of my life back together than I destroyed with drugs and alcohol and I have Brook Recovery to thank for it.
