About Acacia Wellness Center

The Acacia Wellness Center provides primary medical care and mental health care surrounding substance abuse addiction to men and women. You'll find 'em located out in Nampa, Idaho. If you choose this facility, expect to receive recovery treatment from professionals who understand the challenges of addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders.

At this center, you can expect a wide range of services to help you through your addiction. These can include individual and group counseling with healthcare professionals who genuinely care about you. What’s interesting about this center is that it is women-owned and operated, so you can expect compassionate care.

The Acacia Wellness Center also provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for those who might be having trouble overcoming withdrawal and craving symptoms. A nurse practitioner with more than 25 years of experience administers this medication, which is FDA-approved. I like how they also offer Spravato as an option to treat depression.

Besides medication-assisted treatment, holistic treatment plans are also offered based on individual needs. Many have also chosen this center because of its friendly and communicative staff and top-notch treatment methods and because it provides telehealth. This is incredibly convenient for you if you qualify to receive treatment online or over the phone.

You might also find it beneficial that this center offers psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and crisis services. So, no matter if you’re beginning your journey toward sobriety or are neck deep in it, this facility could potentially be what you need.

Contact the center to determine if you have coverage or if payment arrangement plans are available. Most insurers are accepted, but it’s best to confirm before enrolling.

I love, love, LOVE acacia Wellness Center!! I've been seen here since I was fifteen or sixteen years old. I found this place as a minor when I was going through some really rough times and Deo had been my favorite person. I have felt so comfortable talking to her about everything. Deo always takes extra time to talk about things from big to small. She genuinely cares about her clients. I have had a fear of needles for most of my life and refuse to let most people draw my blood or give me shots. Deo will take time to assist so I have someone I'm comfortable with in the room to help me remain calm. I really really appreciate this place and how helpful they have been to me.

Accepted Insurance

Acacia Wellness Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients participating in a rehab aftercare program receive a variety of services designed to support their sustained sobriety and successful reintegration into their home, workplace, and community. Rehab aftercare services may include formal outpatient care, such as addiction counseling and recovery education provided in an outpatient treatment center. They may also include community-based services, including 12 step program induction, peer coaching, and vocational training. These programs are typically designed in partnership with the client's case manager.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
When an individual's life is negatively impacted by substance use but they are resistant to treatment, a drug intervention in Idaho may be appropriate. Drug intervention programs are designed to break through this resistance and motivate the person to get help. During the intervention, the specialist helps loved ones bring reality to the individual and break through barriers that are preventing them from getting the help they need.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical behavior therapy involves individual and group sessions. During individual sessions, you will work on managing intense emotions. Group skills training sessions aim to enhance skills for daily living. They focus on mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Unlike other more coercive methods, motivational interviewing does not impose change on the client. Instead, the therapist asks questions, listens, and reflects the client's thoughts back to them. This helps the person come to their own conclusions and supports making changes on their own terms based on those conclusions.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Part of recovery is replacing unhealthy habits with healthy life skills. These include psychological skills and social skills that allow you to thrive post treatment. While in rehab in Idaho, you'll work on developing these skills so you have the tools you need for a new life.

*edit: I was misinformed, Deo is still taking primary care patients, they just have other providers available as well. The only complaint I have is my medications always take a week or more to be filled when I call, as I take a controlled med that can't be refilled otherwise.Love Deo, have been going to Acasia for about 10 years. Just recently I chose to make her my new primary care provider when I found out she did more than just psychiatric services. I'm super bummed to hear that my primary care will no longer be with her, but her other staff member who I don't even know. Go figure. I was planning on having my son start going there too, but now am thinking twice. :(
