About ABC Therapy LLC

ABC Therapy -- Las Vegas is an outpatient counseling service for mental health and drug and alcohol addiction in Las Vegas, Nevada. ABC Therapy promotes a casual recovery environment to promote open communication and honesty through the help of its multidisciplinary staff. They are a private facility with modern amenities. ABC Therapy provides its services to the criminal justice system and by self referral. They have culturally informed services for Hispanic members of the community seeking treatment.

Outpatient care is a day program where clients visit the facility on a regular schedule to meet with their care team and participate in treatment activities. It is best suited for clients who have previously completed a higher level of care, such as an inpatient program, or whose symptoms are not severe enough to warrant inpatient care. Clients continue to live at home during this program.

Treatment in ABC Therapy’s outpatient program is rooted in individual, group, and family therapy and counseling services. In treatment, clients explore the nature of addiction and mental illness and how their thoughts and behaviors can influence or be influenced by their symptoms. Therapy promotes greater self awareness so clients can develop coping and life skills to support their continuing recovery.

In addition to psychiatric and addiction therapy, ABC Therapy provides treatment services for anger management, domestic violence, gambling addiction, impulse control, DUI related classes, and petty larceny rehabilitation groups.

Some of the above outpatient services have an online education component. Classes and coursework are completed through an online portal.

Clients who exit the program collaborate with their care team on an aftercare plan. Aftercare lays the groundwork for a client’s next steps by identifying long term goals and community support resources. ABC Therapy maintains a list of community resources available in Clark County that serve various needs and clients.

Had to take the domestic violence classes via court orders and was not too pleased about it. Now despite what some of these reviews are saying, I must give a shout out to Karla and Arnoldo whom were my DV counselor. They are truly great people! Even though I was unhappy about having to take domestic violence classes to begin, doing it with them made my experience that much better. So thank you for that!

My son went in for his first session and waited almost an hour after his scheduled appointment just to be told the doctor forgot and could not see him because next appointment was there! No one in the office bothers to check up on appointments? Or realize people go in to seek help!! Shame on how you run things considering they are there to help! Never again. Stay away. One thing they did not forget was to charge the copay...hence the 1 star!

I had an awful experience at this place seeking psychological services. While I don't have any complaints about the front staff, the professional I spoke to had a very dry, uncaring attitude. She was quick to brush off my concerns and at one time scoffed when I stumbled over my words for a moment, something I'm very insercure about. I got into my car feeling worse than dirt, which is obviously not what you want from a therapy appointment.

Accepted Insurance

ABC Therapy LLC works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Healthscope

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients receiving services in a rehab aftercare program are typically in the maintenance phase of their recovery, having already completed intensive inpatient treatment. These clients are generally strongly engaged in addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training. Case managers and care teams work with clients to identify and access the medical, mental health, and social service programs they need to promote long-term sobriety. Rehab aftercare services often include peer coaching, relapse prevention, and 12 step program induction.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
The goal of a drug intervention in Nevada is to encourage the individual to make positive changes and accept professional treatment. Friends and family typically do this carefully planned process, in collaboration with intervention services. A professional such as a drug counselor or certified interventionist can lead the discussion and provide guidance for next steps.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you enter drug rehab in Nevada, you receive professional assistance to remove drugs from your body and cease your body's need for the substance. You learn coping strategies and receive support to prevent relapse and enjoy long-term sobriety.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.

Clinical Services

Substance abuse counselors may apply cognitive behavioral therapy in Nevada during individual, family, or group sessions. Using a goal oriented approach, the therapist will help participants change negative thinking and behavioral patterns to address substance use and related challenges.

If you're experiencing substance use disorder, dialectical behavior therapy in Nevada can help you reduce cravings, learn healthier ways to manage stress, and avoid situations that can lead to substance abuse. Treatment includes one on one sessions with your therapist as well as group sessions to practice the skills you're learning.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Research shows that motivational interviewing is an effective approach for individuals who are unprepared for change. They may be resistant to change or simply insecure in their abilities to make changes. This therapeutic method allows clients to explore their options, reach their own conclusions, and feel empowered to make changes.

Trauma therapy uses trauma focused care to help you understand and manage your emotional and physical responses. Using therapeutic interventions, you learn to reframe the experience. This helps to reduce your anxiety and build your resilience to face future challenges and gain control over your life.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

To start making an appointment here takes too much time, second at the time of making the appointment do not respect your time and do what they want at the time they want, third their service is so mediocre that it is not even worth to rate it with 1 / 10

AVOID ABC THERAPY! They're a scam. They don't care about your mental health, they just want money.I was ordered by the court to have a substance abuse evaluation even though my charge had nothing to do with drugs/alcohol.During my "evaluation" I stated that I don't do drugs and that I don't drink alcohol EVER. Which is 100% fact. Her response was to order me to go to meetings once every week, personal one-on-one therapy once a month, and subject to random urinalysis.FURTHERMORE, they tried to coerce me into sending the evaluation to the court 3 separate times, which I did not thanks to my attorney's advice. If they had sent it to the court, they would've had their way with me and right now I would be jumping through hoops that don't apply to me. All the while hemorrhaging money. If you are ordered by a court to undergo a substance abuse evaluation AVOID THIS PLACE.

I did a number ofl sessions and found the counselors very supportive and understanding. I worked primarily with Arnoldo and Karla. Therapy can be a tough undertaking but I found Arnoldo to be caring, smart, and professional. Karla was very supportive as well and I want to thank them both for their hard work.

Based in the good reviews in google maps I decided to make them a called to ACB Therapy. First at all I made a question if they take HPN insurance, their response was a YES!!! At the beginning I was very happy because finally a clinic will take care of my case. Well, an appointment was set for the next month. And here it comes the saddest part at all, one day before the appointment I received a phone called just to hear from the operator that my appointment was cancelled because the clinic stopped working with HPN Insurance for a couple years ago. I waited one month just for nothing? Please all the staff operators in charge of phone, try to be more honest even with people s insurance at any kind, and tell them the truth that you guys are not taking any insurance. Remember, anxiety is not a game and time is gold even for people suffering all types of disorders. This is not the psychology and psychiatric fault, so don t commit mistakes with more people by making them to wait for weeks and weeks if a patient that is not going to be attended just because the insurance don t cover appointment sessions at all. Think about patients with disorders suffering a lot, well that s a thing that a healthy person free of disorders will never understand. This is a message for all Google Maps explorers searching psychological and psychiatric clinics: if having insurance make sure to ask first if this clinic works with your insurance, good luck. For the phone called that I received from ACB Therapy that broke my heart and feelings, I will give only one start. I wish there can be zero stars to express my unhappiness with phone operators they told me at the beginning YES, we take HPN Insurance and then one day before appointment another phone operator told me they don t work with HPN insurance in a rude way.
