About AA – Alcoholics Anonymous
AA - Alcoholics Anonymous, located in Victorville, California, provides 12 Step meetings to individuals seeking recovery from addiction. It is important to note that this is not a traditional alcohol and drug rehab program, but instead provides free, peer-led meetings.
AA – Alcoholics Anonymous functions on an outpatient basis. Individuals obtain a sponsor, work the steps, sponsor newcomers once they have achieved some time in the program, give back to their local meeting, and learn about the spiritual principles and traditions outlined in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. Individuals are encouraged to attend as many meetings a week as necessary in order to obtain a sponsor and get the support they need. Some individuals decide to get additional support outside of this program through professional psychotherapy or psychiatric care.
AA – Alcoholics Anonymous does not accept insurance. If a person wants to use their insurance to pay for other types of treatment, they are encouraged to contact their insurance carrier prior to starting treatment because out of network benefits may vary from plan to plan.

Treatments
The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.
Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
