My experience at the north Hollywood facility was amazing! Of course when you are coming to detox , you are not in the best mood , but I returned twice after leaving and relapsing and when arrived I was greeted with smiles and support. The staff tended to my needs and provided me with wisdom to help be successful in recovery. The ppl who you meet here will change your life and some will even feel like a part of your family . When I spoke to Stacey about getting me to California I was eventually thinking of every excuse to not go but when I went it ended up being just the right mix of structure and freedom that I needed in order to bring back my independence and self accountability. Numa Recovery Center was the best (and only one) detox/residential facility I ve been too! It definitely was a holistic experience and is the reason I m so passionate about my recovery/sobriety. It gave me a totally new perspective on life and I m so thankful for the owner and the program because it definitely worked for me! They also have numerous wonderful amenities from the gym, cold plunge, sauna, and acupuncture!! Food was awesome, they always had a wide variety of comfort food and healthy options also. Also it was like a family like setting where we got together and ate breakfast some days, barbecued, and went on fun outings. Another special moment I got to experience with Numa was celebrating my birthday there, and they gave me so much of love and support on that day! They also were pet friendly, and allowed not 1 but my 2 doggies to stay with me while in residential. Groups was also great, they had days with yoga, days where we would play games together (my favorite group ), a nutritionist, a life coach and even panel meetings I m totally satisfied and would totally recommend this to other addicts wanting to get sober! We were very lucky to have found this place for our son. They guided us from the beginning, because this was our first time navigating rehabilitation, and we immediately thought this would be our best option given the duration of the program and the living arrangements based on age. From the time we first contacted New Life to today (our son is a graduate from this program and about to move out of the recovery home. He graduated after 14 months and moving out after 17 months.), it has been a blessing. This program not only prepares these young men to achieve sobriety but it also gives them the tools to sustain it. This program provides parents the support to stay involved in the recovery process and embark the family in a healing path (something that seemed impossible in the midst of addiction). As our son actively works the program, we, parents, are given the tools and education to repair and foster healthy family dynamics and strive for a joyful life. We saw our son mature, we matured and learned a new way of life by setting boundaries for our adult child while loving him unconditionally. This program encompasses all the stages of recovery in a comprehensive way and provides a community for them to thrive.We are very thankful to everyone at New Life for saving so many lives.
