Over the last 2 years I have had more than a few issues. From showing up in person and the counselor saying it was virtual and not there, to the receptionist getting in the middle. Not too great.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

The center "A new leaf" has the staff more incompetent, I'm not a psychologist, but whatever person can realize that the approach of the program is not ideal, they try to put more problems in the patient's heads. I would wish that it could be possible to give them a negative ... Read More

Please read the horrible reviews this company has earned before allowing you or your loved ones to be misguided & worse off then when you started seeking counseling. Do your due diligence and find a counseling facility that actually cares and knows how to do their job. Check reviews & get referrals from people who have received help and are on a better path in life. There is nothing more important than helping people find their way through life and rise above their issues. The counselors at this money making business are unknowledgeable in psychology and are unqualified and this will end up destroying lives in the process. They are negatively opinionated and one-sided, they favor to believing in being a victim and feed into this adopted behavior that society has become accustom to. They do not gather party s history, establish a rapport and build a profile to understand the client(s) as well as the issues at hand in order to help elevate and conquer then. Instead, they will encourage parties to be victims & they will encourage them to give up and quit. The option to quit was introduced at the beginning of every session and typically at least once or twice throughout the session. They are the complete opposite of the definition of a counselor. A counselor s role is to assist clients in reaching their optimal level of psychosocial functioning through resolving negative patterns, prevention, rehabilitation and improving quality of life. They are to help break down mental and psychological Block Walls created by individuals due to stress and trauma. These qualities are not present in the counselors at this facility. Either they do not care about helping people and they re just merely in business to generate revenue or they truly are uneducated and unable to perform the basic tasks of counseling. To the counselors at this facility, I implore you to bow out of this practice before you destroy more peoples lives. You would find yourself more useful in a career field that does not revolve around the human psyche.

Hello Jay, we are sorry to hear you may have had a poor experience. We hire licensed social workers and therapists at all of our clinics, and operate as a nonprofit organization - our clients are our reason for existing. While some may disagree with our practices, they are well established and follow all state issued clinical guidelines. We hope you were able to find a facility that better met your needs and wish you well!

Completely incompetent staff. I'm not a psychologist, but even I realized that the approach they took with my son was totally inappropriate and they put things in his head that should never have even been an issue. The counselors should be given a negative star rating, but 1 is the minimum on google I guess.Edit:Wow they replied after 3 years. I'm replying 2 years after so I guess I'm a lot more on it than they are. All they are doing is getting state money any way they can. They should be shut down and every counselor/Dr there should have their license yanked.

2 star review because I was trying to make an appointment and had a question about payment. The supervisor butted in out of no where on the call and asked where I was getting my medication when in fact if she actually knew I ve been off of them and that s why I was trying to make an appointment to see my doctor again. Also billing is ridiculous stating they ve been trying to get ahold of me but also they had returned mail which I confirmed my address and it was correct. They need a better system with communicating with clients, it s not that hard and it s the second time I ve voiced my opinion regarding this. I have no problem paying my bill but don t say you ve tried when you ve done bare minimum. Finding help for Mental health services is already hard enough & the staff doesn t need to make it anymore difficult. Evelyn the doctor is Amazing! And her nurse is wonderful as well! They made the visit great.
