Who can participate?
Any legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia who is over the age of 18 and who is an occupational therapist, occupational therapy assistant, physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, respiratory therapist, speech-language pathologist, or student in one of these disciplines is eligible to participate as long as they are not involved in the administration or judging of the contest. Please consult the eligibility section of the contest Terms and Conditions >> for additional guidelines.
Is there a limit to the number of videos Rehab.com will accept?
No. Rehab.com will accept an unlimited number of contest entries. However, the first 50 videos that comply with the eligibility guidelines as outlined in the contest Terms and Conditions >> will be judged. If you need additional information, please email us at contest@rehab.com.
I'm a rehab therapy student. How can I participate?
You decided to pursue a career in rehab therapy for a reason; tell us what you love about your chosen career! Feel free to use your coursework or your experiences in your clinical fieldwork and/or externships to support your position.
Can I feature patients in my video?
No. In order to comply with HIPAA guidelines and to minimize the amount of paperwork required by contestants, you can not feature patients in your video, either by face or by name.
Are there any restrictions on where I can film my video?
You may not film your video in your workplace or in the workplace of another rehab therapist.
Can I mention my employer's name?
Submissions may not name or otherwise promote any entity or organization that provides therapy services.
What should my video contain?
Be creative! Your video should be about YOU and should speak to why you love your chosen career.
What release forms do I need to sign?
By submitting a video entry for this contest, you agree to be bound by the rules set forth in the Terms and Conditions >> . It is the contestant’s responsibility to obtain any third party consent, including applicable forms, for any music or other media that appears in the video entry. Failure to do so could result in disqualification from the contest.
How many winners will there be?
There will be six winners total: one grand prize People’s Choice winner selected by the general public through Rehab.com based on popular vote and one GRS Choice winner selected by Genesis Rehab Services. In addition, there will be two runners-up for the People’s Choice award and two runners-up for the GRS Choice award.
What does each winner receive?
Each grand prize winner will receive an engraved trophy and a $5,000 check. Each runner-up will receive an engraved trophy and a $2,500 check.
How do I submit my video?
First you will need to create your 2-3 minute video.
Next you will need to upload you video to YouTube.
1) This will require you have a YouTube account.
2) If you do not have an account you can create one for free.
3) You will upload your video to your YouTube account

Finally, you will complete the "Why I Love Being a Therapist" entry form>>.

Is there a maximum video length or file size?
Yes. Your video can be up to 250MB in size and should be no longer than two (2) to three (3) minutes in length. Files larger than 250MB or longer than three (3) minutes will not be accepted.
What formats are acceptable for final submission?
All submissions must comply with YouTube Terms of Use and must be in one of the following formats:
• Adobe Flash (.FLV)
• Windows Media Video (.WMV)
• Audio Video Interleave (.AVI)
• QuickTime (.MOV)
Additionally, preferred specifications for video submissions include:
• Video Resolution: 1280 x 720 (16x9 HD) or 640 x 480 (4:3 SD)
• Video Codec: H.264, MPEG-2 or MPEG-4
• Audio Codec: MP3 or AAC
• Sample Rate: 44.1kHz
• Channels: Stereo (2 Channel)
When is the last day I can submit my video?
You can submit your video through the contest deadline: Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 11:59:59PM EST.
How many times can a registered user vote?
A registered user may only submit one vote per video.
When can I vote for the People's Choice awards?
Voting will begin on Monday, June 14, 2010, and will conclude on Monday, June 28, 2010.
When will winners be announced?
Winners will be announced on Rehab.com by Thursday, July 1, 2010.
